Types of Sins

There are many types of sins.

Below you will find the one or many of the sins which you are committing often or rarely. - Do not lose heart! Do not give up on yourself. Do not give up on God. If you give up, you lose. If you cry out and surrender to The Winner, you win.

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar and His Word has no place in our lives. 1 John 1:8-10

What is a sin?

Sin is any word, action, thought, attitude, intent, or emotion, etc, that goes against the Holy God - against His Word and His Holy Spirit

God gives us all the information we need regarding sinning and not sinning in His Book, the Bible.                                                         The schemes of folly are sin, Proverbs 24:9

                                    Become God's Child

Good excuses to sin.     There are NONE.

Does God excuse our sins away?  Never.

God doesn’t really see it all, does He? Yes, Psalm 139

God is merciful enough to let me slide, right? No, that is not Mercy.  Then I Need Mercy

God knows I am powerless against such temptation and patterns I’ve had for so long, right?  No. God is the giver of strength for you when you are tempted. Temptation.

Does God really punish us for our sins in this life?   Yes!  We are accountable to God for everything we do, say, our attitudes, etc.  Because we are not perfect, God knows we each deserve to take our own punishment in hell forever. Because God is merciful, God had His own Son Jesus Christ take your punishment and mine. If we give Jesus our sins and make Him our Lord of our life and will, then we will not take our own punishment. When we are done living for God in this life, then we will be with Him forever in Heaven. If we do not come to God on His terms, under the Blood of His Son Jesus Christ, then we will go to the punishment which we personally deserve, hell.

Is there really a hell after we die if we keep on sinning? Yes - Sinful Life  or Righteous Life

Whoever said being a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ is easy?

Here are Heart Attitudes to Show IF you have a sinful heart.

Conditions of the Heart – The Path to Sin -

Jesus said, “For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:20         – No legalism. No doing the right thing with the wrong intent. (Matthew 23:27) No being a phony. God sees your heart. (1 Samuel 16:7)

Jesus said, "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven.  Matthew 7:21 – Follow God’s Commands, John 15:10

And He said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:3         – Change to trust the Lord Jesus Christ like a little child, knowing God knows more than you do. Do what He says, the way He says to do it, say it, and be it, and you will be in His Presence!

Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. John 3:5             – See Why ( Big Picture and Atonement and Friendship with God). See details on being Born Again, My Room. Be Born into God's Kingdom - Sinner's Prayer, God's Promises, New Creation, and Pure Heart.

Nothing impure will ever enter it (the Kingdom of God), nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life. Revelation 21:27                 – How can I get my name written in the Lamb's book of life?  By asking the Lord Jesus Christ to write your name in it.  But be aware: There is a catch. You must give the Lord Jesus Christ all of your sin and failures and you must choose to serve Him as your Lord for the rest of your life under His Power, Word, and Holy Spirit which He eagerly gives you.  Sinner's Prayer

List of Sins – Blatant Words   (The FULL List of Sins: God's Commandments!)

The LORD detests all the proud of heart. Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished. Proverbs 16:5

Whoever slanders his neighbor in secret, him will I put to silence; whoever has haughty eyes and a proud heart, him will I not endure. Psalm 101:5

He mocks proud mockers but gives grace to the humble. Proverbs 3:34

The arrogant cannot stand in Your Presence; You hate all who do wrong. Psalm 5:5

Jesus said, “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” John 8:44

What the Bible calls Sin–

There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers. Prov 6:16-19

lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious; for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, for adulterers and perverts, for slave traders and liars and perjurers—and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine that conforms to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which He entrusted to me. 1 Timothy 1:9-11

Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10

But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death." Revelation 21:8

Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. Revelation 22:15

So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature. Romans 13:12-14

But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat. 1 Corinthians 5:11

Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18

The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:19-21

Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Col 3:5-10

But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a man is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.  Eph 5:3-7,11, 15-18

They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them. Romans 1:29-32

For when their sensual desires overcome their dedication to Christ, … Thus they bring judgment on themselves, because they have broken their first pledge. Besides, they get into the habit of being idle and going about from house to house. And not only do they become idlers, but also gossips and busybodies, saying things they ought not to. Some have in fact already turned away to follow Satan. 1 Timothy :11-15

The rest of mankind that were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood—idols that cannot see or hear or walk. Nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality or their thefts. Rev 9:20-21

Repercussions for sin -

But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden His Face from you, so that He will not hear. Isaiah 59:2           More sins listed in Isaiah 59                Going to Hell

Does God do anything about Sin?                             Yes !

Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

The LORD tears down the proud man's house but he keeps the widow's boundaries intact. Proverbs 15:25

The LORD preserves the faithful, but the proud he pays back in full. Psalm 31:23

You rebuke the arrogant, who are cursed and who stray from your commands. Psalm 119:21

In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire. Jude 1:7

It is God's will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the heathen, who do not know God; and that in this matter no one should wrong his brother or take advantage of him. The Lord will punish men for all such sins, as we have already told you and warned you. For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. Therefore, he who rejects this instruction does not reject man but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit. 1 Thess 4:3-8

See that no one is sexually immoral, or is godless like Esau, who for a single meal sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son. Hebrews 12:16

We should not commit sexual immorality, as some of them did—and in one day twenty-three thousand of them died. 1 Corinthians 10:8

Against You, You only, have I sinned and done what is evil in Your sight, so that you are proved right when You speak and justified when You judge. Psalm 51:4

Those who die with sin on their souls go to Hell, taking their own punishment, or wrath, from God. Those who have had the Lord Jesus Christ take their punishment for their own sins go to Heaven.

The Remedy? Psalm 51:10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”

Whoever said being a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ is easy? Whoever said being His disciple would be sheer prosperity? They were wrong if they were thinking materially. God Himself says in Acts 14:22, “strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God.”

So where is the prosperity? Where is the easiness? Not of the world’s style which is like the downward slimy spiral into a fiery pit, a broad road (Matthew 7:13), and a house build on sand (Matthew 7:24-29 ).

The ease and prosperity for the Christ follower lies in relating with and under the Lord Jesus Christ as His child and soldier. See Atonement, and New Creation, and Friendship with God and Born Again, My Room, Sinner's Prayer, God's Promises, Pure Heart.

This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.           If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives. 1 John 1:5-10

Many pitfalls can be found in Sexual Activity, My Religion and Your Religion. Be sure to NOT get distracted in traditions and practices. That is why Jesus was angry at His religious leaders. Instead, Jesus wants you to develop a close relationship with Him based on Who Jesus is and His Atoning complete and perfect work on the cross. Jesus shed His Own Blood for your sins. No one else died for you. "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," 1 Timothy 2:5       Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."  John 14:6  Your allegiance is only to the fully God and fully man Lord Jesus Christ.

Become God's Child, He wants you to. "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28                 Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you; Psalm 55:22 -23            Then you will know Him in your heart. Sinner's Prayer.
