Cast Your Cares 3

 

Jesus says, "And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him. "This, then, is how you should pray: "`Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name,…" Matt 6:7-9

O LORD, You have searched me and known me.   Psalm 139                

Referring to Jesus Christ, Jesus had Problems, Burdens, Cares and Prayers For this reason He had to be made like His brothers in every way, in order that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that He might make atonement for the sins of the people.  Because He himself suffered when He was tempted, He is able to help those who are being tempted.  Hebrews 2:17,18        Although He was a son, he learned obedience from what He suffered and, once made perfect, He became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey Him and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek. Romans 5:8-10        Jesus was betrayed, abandoned, despised and beaten. 

Whatever your need is, God wants you to give your problems to Him so He can handle them and be in charge of them. God loves you  more deeply and more fully than any person can. Only God has Everlasting Love for you!!

God loves you: A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. (born to help you through adversity, trials and troubles.) Prov. 17:17  A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Prov. 18:24   ~~That is the Lord Jesus Christ!

Jesus Christ says, "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you." John 15:13-15

Put your full weight of all of your burdens, troubles, sins, errors, fears, pains, sufferings, problems, shortcomings, and all that you can think of, upon the Lord Jesus Christ. Lay everything at the Cross of Christ. Jesus says, "Come to me…"   God does not want you to come to Him perfect.   -  Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, Who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.  Hebrews 12:2         

The Lord God Almighty knows that no one is capable of being perfect. This is why God sent His Only Son Jesus Christ to die for your sins and wrongdoing, while you were still a sinner.

still a sinner :  You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.  Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through Him!  For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life!  Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through Whom we have now received reconciliation.   Romans 5:6-11

LORD:      A Lord in the olden days was in charge of the land.  Peasants lived on the land and depended upon the Lord for protection from their enemies. --- This is what the word Lord for Jesus Christ means!!  For we are on all that He made and created, the earth, and of everything unseen, and we must be dependant upon Him if we are to be safe!  Throw, toss, cast everything that you care about on the Lord to have Him in charge of them. For in your submission to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, you will be loved and cared for!!                 The Lord God made all of the laws of nature and commandments for us to live by. If we live according to His precepts, laws, commands, instruction, we will have a blessed life. If we choose to go a way different from God's, we will suffer for our wrong choice.         It is like a street you are driving on. At the end of the road is a stop sign.  You see the sign, know that you are supposed to stop, but decide to go ahead anyway.  Along comes a truck that does have the right-of-way and slams your car hard.  You spin in your car, your car is damaged and is now undriveable. -- That is how it is with God's laws. He has laid the signs before us : stop and go, yield, caution, slow… all for our own protection.  He put up the signs there because God knows the terrain where you are headed, and where you should be headed.  the Lord is the mapmaker, too.  If you want to end up in Heaven, you've got to go to Him for the directions and obey Him. 

God had you read His Word today because He wants to handle everything that concerns you!! He wants you to give them to Him in order for Him to take them away from you, and for you to focus on Him so that He can teach you His Way.   You are not to take them back, not to worry or fret… but throw everything upon Him, cast them, toss them and never retrieve them. You are never take them back but are to trust that the Lord will handle them the best way.

How do I do this?   How can I cast my cares upon a God of Spirit and Control?  ~~Answer

Jesus says, "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? "And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, `What shall we eat?' or `What shall we drink?' or `What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matt 6:25-33
 
Delight yourself in the LORD and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him and He will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. Psalm 37:4-6  

O LORD Almighty, blessed is the man who trusts in You. I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD. It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man. Ps, 84:12; 91:2; 112:7; 118:8;

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is he who trusts in the LORD. Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe. Prov 3:5,6; 16:20; 29:25

This is a command, not a request.  Do give God your thoughts, worries, joys and everything that you care about!!

Promises : For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength. 1 Cor 1:25 

But He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Cor 12:9-10

The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful Word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. Hebrews 1:3

John 3:2-21 "How can a man be born when he is old?" Nicodemus asked. "Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born!" Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, `You must be born again.' The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit." "How can this be?" Nicodemus asked. …. Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God." John 3:2-21
 
The amount of sustenance that God gives for your life is dependant upon your willingness to bring to Him your heart, soul, spirit, and all that you care about. You must make a full commitment to give all that your are to Jesus Christ. God does promise to sustain you IF you give Him all of your concerns, and do not take them back. If there is something which you are not giving to the Lord God, then He does not have to help in that matter, because you have not committed it to Him. The Lord Jesus may choose to intervene in an area which you did not give Him, or even know needed His intervention, but generally, the Lord only works where He is asked and invited.    

Trust in the Lord with all of your heart... Proverb 3:5-12           Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones. Honor the LORD with your possessions, And with the first fruits of all your increase; So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine. My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, Nor detest His correction; For whom the LORD loves He corrects, Just as a father the son in whom he delights. Prov.3:5-12  King Solomon wrote Proverbs. King Solomon was the son of King David by Bath Sheba, and considered to be the wisest man of his time.  In this, Solomon counsels the youth and wisely advised them.

     I remember my affliction and my wandering, the bitterness and the gall.  I well remember them, and my soul is downcast within me.  Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope:  Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.  They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.  I say to myself, "The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him."  Lamentations 3: 19-24 

But He gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." James 4:6
